Westmount is one of those ideal communities for doing errands by foot or bike. In fact, Westmounters can ride to Montreal West (going west) and to Greene (going east) on the de Maisonneuve bike path. The city of Montreal has promised to continue the bike path right into downtown Montreal in the next year.
Public transport is also readily accessible to travel within Westmount and to other areas of Montreal. Westmounters are well-served by the public transit system which provides 8 bus routes, two subway stations (Orange line at Vendôme and Green line at Atwater) and one commuter train station (Vendôme).
