What is this date?

Canada's foreign buyer ban, officially the Prohibition on the Purchase of Residential Property by Non-Canadians Act, prevents most individuals who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents from buying residential homes. Enacted on January 1, 2023, and extended to January 1, 2027, the ban targets speculative single-family housing in major urban centers.
