I pride myself on giving good advice and assisting those in need when no one else is there, especially for some of our elderly or families who need guidance.

I grew up in NDG and have spent the better part of my working life in this neighbourhood. This past week of terrible weather, which caused so many issues and some unfortunate casualties, reminded me of 1998 and the issues we went through that month.

So many issues this past week, with the power outage, frozen water pipes, and frozen radiators for homeowners and tenants.

The plumbers were busy, busy, busy, and neighbours went out of their way again for others less fortunate.

We also lost 2 residents over this weekend , both seniors in homes with no power.

It is very scary how fast this can happen.

I will keep trying to give good advice and to help.
