Property Tax information for 2026 in Montreal

For the whole of 2025, however, inflation was closer to 2.6 per cent in the Montreal area, and the forecast is 2.1 per cent for 2026. Combined with increases at the borough level, homeowners will see an average property tax rate increase of 3.8 per cent.


With some property evaluations going up in 2026 , we will hopefully have more information on the dollar increase for property owners
