Meats

Chicken Divan

Total cooking time: see below
1/3 CUP BUTTER
1/3 CUP FLOUR
1/4 TSP. SALT
3 CUP MILK
1/4 TSP. MUSTARD
1/4 TSP. WORCESTER
1 CUP GRATED CHEDDAR, RESERVE 1/4 FOR SPRINKLING
2 10 OZ BROCCOLI
1 TBS. SALT
1/4 TSP. PEPPER
6 LARGE BREASTS
2 YOLKS EGG (INTO SAUCE)
6 SLICES TOMATO
  1. SAUCE: Saute flour and salt in butter. Add milk gradually and while stirring constantly bring just to boiling, until thickened.
  2. Add rest of ingredients.
  3. Layer broccoli, sauce, chicken breasts, and more sauce.
  4. Top with remainder cheese.
  5. Bake in 350F oven until bubbly.
